Swerve Strickland has traded shots with an AEW star ahead of their final match in the AEW Continental Classic.
The AEW Continental Classic is about to conclude its group stage with the final matches for the Gold and Blue Leagues on the upcoming episodes of Dynamite and Collision.
With nine points overall and a 3-1 record in the tournament, Swerve Strickland will face RUSH on the December 20 edition of AEW Dynamite. RUSH stands at six points with a 2-2 record.
On December 17, RUSH took to social media to post a clip of his last match with Strickland from their time in MLW. He wrote the caption:
You have grown as a wrestler since the last time we faced and I easily beat you.
We will see each other again now in #AEW and I will remind you that you are still a child, and I am your father.
I will show the world who is the real superstar
Te voy a desmadrar perro !!
Swerve retweeted to respond to his upcoming Continental Classic opponent, writing:
You think you can man handle me like that on THIS stage in @aew?
Wrong.
You aint been to where I’ve been and done what I’ve done. Wed, I turn the bull into bulls**t
RUSH quickly responded to let Strickland know that he’s been to worst places than Swerve has, writing:
You are right, i’ve never been where you have been or done what you have done.
I have been to worst places, more violent environments and I have DONE MORE THAN YOU EVER HAVE without even speaking English.
I am your new fucking nightmare PERRO. See you at #AEWDYNAMITE
If Swerve can defeat RUSH, he will advance to the Gold League Final on the December 27 edition of AEW Dynamite.
The other end of the Gold League Final will be determined when Jon Moxley faces Jay White on this Wednesday’s December 20 edition of AEW Dynamite.
The AEW Continental Classic Finals will take place on Saturday, December 30 at AEW Worlds End. For the full lineup for the show, click here.
