It is not uncommon around this time of year to not see any title changes as WWE heads into WrestleMania. However, tonight on NXT TakeOver: Portland, a title change did occur.
The Broserweights defeated The Undisputed Era to become the new NXT Tag Team Champions. It looked like there would be a breakdown for the new teammates in the match.
Dunne accidentally took out Riddle at one point. Later, Riddle would inadvertently hit Dunne with a spear. However, the duo would be able to survive and come back.

After Dunne kicked out of Chasing the Dragon, The Broserweights would go on a double-teaming spree. Eventually, they would get a huge pinfall victory.
Pete Dunne and Matt Riddle win the NXT Tag Titles.
I’m not sure if NXT intended for the duo to be a long term team or a short term pairing. However, you can’t argue the two have incredible chemistry together.

The odd-couple pairing with Riddle’s happy-go-lucky attitude playing off Dunne’s seriousness has been working so well. This seems destined to end in some form of a bad breakup, but the ride to get there should be very, very fun.
