WWE made it’s latest batch of roster cuts last night, with 22 wrestlers being released from the company across the main roster and NXT brands.
Perhaps the biggest name of the bunch was former World Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler, who had been with the company for almost 20 years prior to his release.
Ziggler had done almost everything in the company, with one of his greatest moments being his feud and matches with The Miz back in 2016.
The rivalry came to a head at No Mercy, when Ziggler put his career on the line against Miz’s Intercontinental Championship.
Taking to Instagram today, Miz reacted to Ziggler’s departure, reflecting on their match at No Mercy, which Miz claimed was one of the best matches of his career.
He said:
I consider one of the best matches of my career the Career vs Title match at No Mercy against @heelziggler. Everything leading up to that match was great. Dolph always brought the best out of me every time we worked together. I don’t know if I’ve faced any one person more than him in my career. I’ll miss those times but excited to see what comes next for him.
