The Rock received a brand new honorary championship belt during tonight’s 2024 WWE Hall of Fame ceremony after SmackDown.
The Undertaker was on hand to help induct Muhammad Ali, before Ali’s widow Lonnie took over.
During her speech, Lonnie praised The Rock for taking on Ali’s People’s Champion nickname.
She then revealed a new championship belt called The People’s Championship, which she presented to The Rock.
Rock joined her in the ring and received a mixed reaction with some heckling given his recent on-screen heel persona.
He did play up to it a bit, but ultimately was grateful for the title belt and thanked Philadelphia.
