The Rock Reveals Whether He’s Turned Heel In WWE Ahead Of WrestleMania 40 WWE

The Rock himself has revealed whether he actually turned heel ahead of WWE WrestleMania 40 and after the events of last week.

The Rock appeared at the WrestleMania 40 Kickoff event and ended up siding with Roman Reigns in a confrontation with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

There was also a storyline incident between The Rock and Triple H, leaning into The Rock’s authority as a TKO Board member potentially giving him the potential ability to overrule HHH if he wants to.

In a tweet yesterday (February 11), that was actually a response to someone’s “false clickbait garbage” tweet suggesting that fans were booing him at the Mania Kickoff event because of Maui, Rock confirmed he officially turned heel.

He wrote:

This moment you’re referring to is from our @WWE press conference this past Thursday where I turned “heel” – wrestling parlance for bad guy.

I’m playing it up with our crowd as they boo.

It’s what we do in our WWE universe, and we all love every second of it.

Both Roman Reigns and The Rock are being advertised to appear at this week’s February 15 episode of SmackDown.

WWE released a “teaser trailer” for WrestleMania yesterday featuring another face-off between Rock & Roman and Rhodes & Rollins, but it’s still not confirmed whether a tag team match is actually the plan or not.

The only thing official thus far is Reigns vs Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, and that Rollins will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against the winner of the upcoming Elimination Chamber match.
