The Rock has commented on his WWE character, sharing his honest thoughts on performing as a heel on WWE TV.
With The Rock established as a top name in Hollywood, fans previously thought that the Great One’s days as a WWE bad guy were long gone.
Things changed when The Rock made his WWE return earlier this year, with the Hollywood star siding with the Bloodline in February and entering a feud with Cody Rhodes.
Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live, The Rock noted that he’s enjoying being a heel in WWE as he can say the things that people want to say.
He explained:
“It is the best to go back to WWE in this ‘Rock 10.0’ version where I can become a heel and say the things that people want to say.”
The Rock will return to the ring at WrestleMania 40, where he and WWE Undisputed Universal Champion Roman Reigns will face off against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins in a huge tag-team match.
This bout will have huge implications on the Roman Reigns vs Cody Rhodes bout previously scheduled for WrestleMania, with the Bloodline banned from ringside if Rhodes and Rollins win, but ‘Bloodline rules’ introduced if The Rock and Reigns are victorious.
Another title match has been confirmed for WrestleMania following a #1 contender’s match on Monday’s (March 11) edition of Raw.
