Title Change On AEW Dynamite

Title Change On AEW Dynamite AEW

There was a title change on tonight’s AEW Dynamite as Kazuchika Okada won his first championship since becoming All Elite.

Eddie Kingston looked to defend the AEW Continental Championship against Okada however was unable to retain against the new star.

The match was only for the Continental Championship, not the entire ‘Continental Crown’, which also includes the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship and the ROH World Championship.

So Kingston still holds those two titles, but Okada is the new AEW Continental Champion.

An earlier backstage segment featuring the Young Bucks and Okada noted that the EVPs planned to be on ‘the headsets’ for Okada’s match to serve as his personal producers.

Throughout the match, the Young Bucks were shown on camera seated next to Tony Khan, wearing headsets and seemingly producing the match in an intriguing bit of backstage action through the match.

While there was no confetti for Okada’s title win, there were pyrotechnics and a short celebration before an immediate challenger emerged.

PAC came out on the ramp to have a stare down with the brand new Continental Champion.
