TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth, formerly Dolph Ziggler in WWE, has reacted to LA Knight’s promo about Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw.
With Rollins set to challenge Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE SummerSlam, Rollins opened Raw this past Monday with a promo that focused in large part on the fact that WWE always pushed Reigns as ‘the guy’ instead of Rollins.
Some fans found this quite confusing, offputting and complainy considering Rollins himself has amassed so many accomplishments in his own right over the past 15 years, which is something that LA Knight brought up when he cut Rollins off.

Now, Nemeth, who was there in WWE to witness the majority of The Shield members’ rise up the company, has given his perspective, and he agrees with what Knight had to say.
On Busted Open, Nemeth explained:
“LA Knight – yeah, age doesn’t matter here. He’s making great points.
“Yes, Seth has been on top for 13-16 years, 13 years, whatever, that’s a long time to be all over that main event scene, whether you deserve it or not. And let me reiterate, he deserves it, he’s fantastic, he’s amazing, I’m a fan.
“But also, you go, ‘What if LA Knight was the third guy in The Shield?’ Would he be in his 13th year on top? Would he be in a different situation?
“Would anybody else be in a different situation if… some people debut and they lose to Fit (Finlay) on WWE ECW in a five minute match. And some people debut and you’re in The Shield and you go on to become, everyone’s world champions, everyone’s protected, everybody’s in a great spot.
“And even those times where Roman wasn’t around, I’m like, ‘Are we going with Seth? Are we going with him?’ And I never got a straight answer from the boss. That tells me that we don’t know. But I go, ‘Alright, I’m still giving my all and we’re going with him while Roman’s not around.’ But it didn’t seem like the boss had that feeling for him.
“So now you see all those years and it’s like, yeah, someone like LA Knight, who’s only been here for a couple of years on TV, but been around the business, he’s fresh, he’s different, and he’s going, ‘I don’t know what you’re complaining about out here. You’ve had the opportunities, brother. You’ve delivered, but you got them.’
“And at some point, somebody else deserves it. They don’t have to be 26 years old. They could be 46. But somebody else needs to be in this picture, or else you just look like you’re a whining, complaining guy who’s got $100 million.”
