Tony Khan has detailed how All Elite Wrestling invests money into the accommodations for talent.
Since the inception of AEW, fans have wondered the differences between the new promotion and WWE with how they treat their talent.
In a tweet replying to Dave Meltzer, a fan asked whether wrestlers still take care of their own car rentals and hotels or is that covered by the company. Meltzer replied:
Overseas it’s taken care of. Domestic they still pay for cars and hotels.
AEW President Tony Khan quote tweeted the post by Meltzer. Revealing how All Elite Wrestling has invested money into accommodations for talent since the creation of the promotion, Khan wrote:
That’s false Dave. Your statement’s true about other companies but doesn’t apply at all to AEW
AEW invests millions of dollars every year on very good quality hotel rooms + safe transport to take care of our wrestlers.
It’s a huge investment I make on hotels weekly
Meltzer has clarified that he was answering the question about WWE specifically.
After a fan pointed out that Meltzer’s Twitter account was hacked into, Khan replied:
That may be, but he wrote that before he got hacked, and tonight is Friday night, when I often correct the record on things I find to be inaccurate before #AEWRampage on @TNTdrama
