Tony Khan Reveals Who Had Idea For Homage To ‘Steiner Math’ On AEW Dynamite AEW

Tony Khan has revealed who had the idea to incorporate an homage to the infamous ‘Steiner Math’ promo into the most recent AEW Dynamite.

Speaking about his creative process alongside Adam Cole and MJF, AEW CEO and Head of Creative Tony Khan revealed who had the idea for the promo.

In case you missed it, MJF recreated the legendary 2008 IMPACT promo directed towards Samoa Joe from Rick Steiner, commonly referred to as ‘Steiner Math’, as the AEW World Champion brought forth an entirely new iteration to the zeitgeist.

You can watch the video below of “MJF Math” and according to Khan, the idea belonged to the champ MJF himself.

Tony Khan telling Insider:

“That particular one was him. Wrestling is all about collaborations and I really enjoy having that connection and the ability to create stories.”

“We were putting down ideas for the week’s shows, and he did say that and it was a great idea. That’s how I like to put stories together. Sit down with MJF and Adam Cole, the three of us, and talk. I’ve shot videos with the two of them and they have this great partnership.”

AEW Dynamite would go off the air with MJF’s best friend Adam Cole being choked out by Samoa Joe, with Joe vowing to take everything from Max when they finally meet in the ring on next week’s AEW Dynamite.

Next week’s special Dynamite Grand Slam will air on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 and is set to feature the AEW World Heavyweight Champion MJF defending his title against Samoa Joe in front of Arthur Ashe Stadium.
