ROH held a TV taping on Saturday (December 16), where matches and segments were taped for next Thursday’s show.
During the taping, Tony Khan unveiled a new title belt for the promotion’s women’s division.
Tony Khan introduced a ROH Women’s TV Championship, which you can see a photo of below.
While it’s currently unclear how the inaugural champion will be crowned, this segment is expected to air on Thursday’s (December 21) edition of ROH TV on Honor Club.
This will be the second championship introduced for ROH’s women’s division, with the ROH Women’s World Championship replacing the Women of Honor Championship in 2020.
Athena currently holds the ROH Women’s World Championship, and has held the gold for over 370 days, defeating Mercedes Martinez at Final Battle 2022.
Tony Khan recently opened up about AEW being under ‘constant attack’ at the Final Battle 2023 media scrum, which you can read more about right here.
