Top NJPW Star Calls Bullet Club ‘The Most Important Faction Of Last 20 Years’ NJPW

A top NJPW star has called the Bullet Club “the most important faction of the last 20 years”.

Hiroshi Tanahashi has established a legacy as one of the greatest wrestler to step foot in the NJPW ring.

Since 2013, Tanahashi has faced challenge after challenge from the Bullet Club. The faction formed by Prince Devitt has experienced various changes over the past decade.

From AJ Styles to Kenny Omega, “The Ace” has seen every evolution of the popular stable.

Speaking with NJPW, Tanahashi praised the group and even called them “the most important faction of the last 20 years”. He said:

“That was the core four, Devitt, Fale, Anderson and Tama Tonga. I think from there it’s no exaggeration to say that BULLET CLUB is the most important faction of the last twenty years at least.”

“Wherever you go overseas you still see fans in BULLET CLUB shirts, and all those people in the top slot over the years, Devitt to AJ to Kenny Omega to Jay White are really best of the best.”

Hiroshi Tanahashi will team up with Keiji Muto and Shota Umino to face Los Ingobernables de Japon’s Tetsuya Naito, SANADA and BUSHI in a six-man tag team match at NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 17.

Meanwhile, Bullet Club will be very busy on January 4 as well with Jay White will defend the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship against Kazuchika Okada in the Wrestle Kingdom 17 main event.

Also, Taiji Ishimori will face Hiromu Takahashi, El Desperado and Master Wato in a four-way match for the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship and WWE’s Karl Anderson will go one-on-one with Tama Tonga for the NEVER Openweight Championship.
