A top WWE star has suffered a legitimate injury during a championship match at a live event tonight (July 16).
With WWE in Salisbury, MD for a ‘Sunday Stunner’ live event, there appears to have been an injury in the women’s title match featuring Asuka, Charlotte Flair, Bianca Belair and Bayley.
Fans in attendance shared the account that Bayley went down grabbing her knee and referee Jessika Carr put up her arms up in an X formation, which usually signifies that there’s a legitimate issue.
PWInsider is reporting that it was confirmed by WWE sources that the incident with Bayley was not a planned spot and is a legitimate situation.
Bayley was reportedly assisted to the back by WWE officials.
