A top WWE star has said that they want to win the WWE Championship one more time before they retire from wrestling.
AJ Styles has found himself in the middle of a feud with LA Knight in recent weeks, with him costing Knight the Elimination Chamber match in Perth last weekend.
Styles and Knight both recently challenged Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship, a title that Styles has held twice before, as the WWE Championship.
Speaking to AfterWords with Johnjay and Rich, Styles spoke about the title, saying that he ‘needs’ to win the belt one more time before he retires from wrestling.
He said:
“I need that championship one more time before I call it quits.”
Styles last held the WWE Championship in 2018, when he held the title on SmackDown for over a year before dropping the title on an episode of SmackDown to Daniel Bryan.
