WWE Had Plans For Triple H Match At WrestleMania 38 WWE

Triple H has revealed that there were originally plans in place for him at WrestleMania 38, before his cardiac event.

During his recent interview with ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith, Triple H confirmed that he will never wrestle again and provided details on the event he suffered in September 2021.

Triple H also noted that he had talked with Vince McMahon about his plans for WrestleMania 38, prior to his health issues, revealing:

“I was already at a place in my career, as far as the in-ring goes, where I was comfortable being done and finished.

“If the right thing came along, I hadn’t really said much, but if the right thing came along and they wanted me to do it…I had a conversation with Vince McMahon about doing something at WrestleMania this year in Dallas.

“We had talked about and there were plans for. Obviously, when this happened, it shut all that down. As far as the schedule, WWE is an intense place, it’s 24/7 and you’re running, running, running. It put things in perspective for me.”

Triple H’s last televised match was against Randy Orton at Super ShowDown 2019. His last official bout, not including a Street Fight segment in 2020, was a tag team match on the June 2019 Tokyo, Japan house show.
