Over a month on from her last WWE match at Payback 2023, Trish Stratus has now addressed a the possibility of a return for another run in the company in the future.
In what was a very welcome surprise earlier this year, the long-retired WWE Hall of Famer returned to the ring at WrestleMania 39 and stayed active on the Raw brand up until early September.
Given the memorable run, fans have naturally speculated about Trish Stratus’ return, with the Toronto-native being asked about her WWE status in a Q&A session at Big Texas Comic Con (via Tales From The Collection: Autographs & Fan Mail).
Stratus explained what it would take for her to get back in a WWE ring for another run, saying:
“But again, I’ve been asked by people here (at Big Texas Comic Con), ‘Are you coming back? Do you want to do another run?’
“But this is the thing, I’m like… the boxes it has to check. One is the creative. What is the creative? What am I going to come back and do? Is it going to check these boxes?
“So, I always turn it back to people and go, ‘I might go back but who should I face?’ Tell me, I wanna know.”
Interestingly Stratus was also asked if there was ever a possibility of her appearing for another wrestling company, to which she answered:
“Probably not”
Stratus’ most recent run saw her almost entirely opposed to Becky Lynch throughout, with the seven-time former women’s champion playing a heel for the first time in almost two decades as well as featuring in her first ever ladder and steel cage matches.
Stratus’ former rival Lynch has since moved on to become the NXT Women’s Champion, already putting on memorable encounters both on the gold brand and Monday Night Raw.
