WWE
WWE has now officially announced debuts for two new talents whose matches will be shown on broadcast for the first time.
As always, this coming Friday’s episode of SmackDown on FOX will be followed by NXT Level Up on the WWE Network/Peacock.
WWE has confirmed the lineup will feature two debuts from talents who’ve never had a ‘televised’ match before, in the form of Lainey Reid and Saquon Shugars.
Reid, real name TyLynn Register, is a professional rodeo champion, and track and field athlete from Jacksonville State.
Her match on Level Up will be against Jaida Parker of the Out The Mud faction.
Reid has had matches at untelevised shows, but this will be her first that will be shown on broadcast.
In that same position is Saquon Shugars, which is the new name for former indie wrestler Lucky Ali, who joined WWE at the start of the year.
Shugars’ match is against Tavion Heights, who has been a regular on Level Up for over a year at this point.
The third match will see Uriah Connors’, who is Fit Finlay’s son Brogan Finlay, against Eddy Thorpe.
Connors signed with WWE at the same time as Shugars and had a brief match on NXT TV a couple of weeks ago against Shawn Spears, but this is his first on Level Up.
Thorpe is making an in-ring return after being out for four months following an NXT Underground match against Dijak on NXT TV.
Level Up featuring Reid vs Parker, Shugars vs Heights, and Connors vs Thorpe will air on Friday, March 22 after SmackDown, with the three matches having been taped on Tuesday, March 19 before the start of NXT TV.
