Update On Drew McIntyre’s WWE Contract Status Following Recent Summer Advertisements WWE

There has been an update on Drew McIntyre’s WWE contract status following recent advertisements for shows in the Summer.

Drew McIntyre has quickly become one of the focal points of the Raw roster since his heel turn last November, with him taking aim at many of the show’s top babyfaces.

Despite McIntyre being prominently featured on the show, his contract with the company is set to expire shortly after WrestleMania 40, with him yet to agree to terms on a new deal, which has led to a lot of speculation about his future.

However, WWE recently advertised it’s upcoming return to Italy in the Summer, which featured McIntyre on the advertising, as well as him still being featured on advertising for Bash in Berlin in August.

While nothing new had been reported, this led some fans to wonder whether there had been any progression on McIntyre signing a new deal.

Per PWInsider Elite (via Wrestling Inc.), WWE sources have said that they are working together on the idea that Drew will be remaining with the company, but pen has not yet been put to paper, so there is always a chance things could end up breaking down.

However, PWInsider was told that both sides are hoping to strike a new deal.

Drew is not the only top WWE star with a contract set to expire this year, with Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Sheamus and more reportedly all having deals coming up this Summer.
