An update has been provided on the charges against former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Liv Morgan following her arrest.

Liv Morgan was arrested for ‘possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams)’ and ‘possession of drugs, possibly synthetic cannabinoid’ at 6:30 PM yesterday December 14, 2023.

According to the report, a Sheriff’s deputy noted that the jeep she was operating crossed over the lines of a county road and pulled the star over. The arrest report notes that when the deputy approached, “the odor of marijuana was detected.”

Per PWInsider, the more serious charge of possession of drugs against Liv Morgan was dropped from the criminal case against her on January 2.

There is no confirmation yet as to why the charge was dropped, but the word making the rounds in WWE was that Morgan had stated the vape pen found in her vehicle was not her property.

The charge that was dropped is a felony in Florida and could have been punishable by up to a maximum of one year in jail, up to one year of probation and a $1,000 fine.

Morgan’s remaining charge of possession of marijuana (not more than 20 grams) was transferred to the County’s Misdeameanor Court Division.

Her arraignment is scheduled for Monday, February 12 at the Sumter County Courthouse, but has been cancelled.

The charge is a misdemeanor in Florida and can be punishable up to one year in jail or on probation, along with a $1,000 fine.

Conviction of possession also results in a six month driving license suspension, random drug testing, and all the reimbursement of all fees related to the sentence.

WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on Liv Morgan’s arrest when they become available.
