There was an update on a potential change to a championship match at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver on tonight’s episode.
In the main event of the show, the Wolf Dogs (Baron Corbin and Bron Breakker) took on Alpha Academy (Akira Tozawa and Otis) in a match with stakes.
If the champs lost the match, Alpha Academy would be added to the title match at NXT Stand & Deliver.
However in the end, the champs emerged victoriously after an epic showing from Bron Breakker who was hoisted up on Otis’ shoulders yet still managed to counter a move from Tozawa and execute into a slam.
You can see the wild moment below.
After the victory, the other teams vying for an opportunity to take on the tag team champs for the title at NXT Stand & Deliver appeared with LWO, Axiom & Nathan Frazer and the Good Brothers all brawling including the champs to close the show.
Joaquin Wilde and Cruz del Toro (LWO) will take on Axiom and Nathan Frazer as well as Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows (the Good Brothers) in a triple threat match to determine who will go on to face the Wolf Dogs at NXT Stand & Deliver.
Elsewhere on tonight’s show, a North American Championship match was made official for NXT Stand & Deliver.
