A further update regarding Ric Flair’s upcoming in-ring wrestling return has been revealed.
As previously mentioned, the two-time WWE Hall of Famer revealed today that he will be making his in-ring wrestling return on July 31 in Nashville, Tennessee for Jim Crockett Promotions.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), there’s a lot more to Ric Flair training with Jay Lethal and the wrestling legend is actively planning to wrestle at least one more match this year, which was confirmed as being Starrcast.
Sources close to Flair say there have been several overtures and inquiries as to whether or not the 16-time world champion is open to working more wrestling matches.
The announced match for Starrcast is not planned to be a singles match right now.
Flair’s last match was in September 2011 for IMPACT Wrestling against Sting. After his retirement match in 2008 against Shawn Michaels, Flair wrestled 16 more times, mostly for IMPACT.
We will have further information on Ric Flair and his in-ring return when they become available.
