Update On Severity Of Top WWE Raw Star’s Injury

*** WARNING- this article will contain spoilers from last week’s WrestleMania 36 tapings ***

It was reported earlier in the week that SmackDown Tag Team Champion The Miz will miss this year’s WrestleMania as he is feeling under the weather. Understandably, WWE is being extra cautious at the moment with everything that is going on.

However, The Miz isn’t the only current WWE champion who will miss the big show. According to reports, US Champion Andrade will not be taking part in the show, this time through injury.

The former NXT Champion was set to team with Angel Garza to take on The Street Profits in a mouth-watering clash for the Raw Tag Championship. He was replaced by a current NXT star, and you can find out who by clicking here.

While it was reported that Andrade will miss ‘Mania, nothing was reported by way of what exact injury he had suffered or how serious the injury is.

However, thanks to Dave Meltzer, we now know that Andrade suffered a rib injury, but the knock is not said to be severe. His removal from the WrestleMania is likely just precautionary.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer had the following to say about Andrade’s unfortunate injury knock:

“Andrade suffered a rib injury on the match on RAW — the tag match. It’s not a serious injury, but it was serious enough that he’s out.”

Do you think with so many superstars being removed from WrestleMania that WWE should have postponed the big show? Let us know on Twitter.
