Update On New WWE Ring Name Fans Speculated Was For Jade Cargill AEW

Former AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill has officially left the company, with her wrestling her last match against Kris Statlander on last week’s (September 15) episode of AEW Rampage.

Following her departure, Jade is expected to be WWE-bound, with her reportedly being at the WWE Performance Center last week, and WWE creative said to be working on creative for Cargill.

Cargill recently finished up with AEW with her contract expiring on September 15, and she was removed from the AEW roster page on September 18 – the same day PWInsider reported she was in Orlando for WWE.

With Jade potentially set to be headed to WWE, fans have wondered if she would keep her name, or if she would receive a new WWE ring name.

Shortly after, WWE filed to trademark the name ‘Jaida Parker’, which many believed was going to be the name that WWE would give to Cargill upon her debut in the company.

In an update, the trademarked name is in fact not for Cargill, but rather NXT prospect Tiana Caffey, who recently changed her social media handles to include the name.

There was never actually anything to suggest the new name would be going to Cargill other than fans creating the rumour on Twitter, so just to clear up, that’s not the case.

Caffey made her in-ring debut on an NXT live event back in March, and the recent change of ring name would imply she will soon make her television debut.

She most recently wrestled on the September 22 NXT live event, under the Jaida Parker name, losing to Kelani Jordan.
