Video: Adele Finally Meets The Rock At The Grammys

The 2023 Grammys took place on February 5 in Los Angeles and host Trevor Noah had a surprise for Adele when he introduced her to her idol.

Adele, it turns out, was not only a wrestling fan but also a big fan of Dwayne Johnson.

Despite both living in Beverley Hills, their paths hadn’t crossed, until The Grammys.

Having previously appeared on the NikkiTutorials Youtube channel, Adele explained:

“I was the biggest wrestling fan when I was younger.

“He sent me flowers the other day because he and his wife couldn’t make my show. Literally, I nearly fell off my chair!”

During the opening of The Grammys, Trevor Noah said to the audience:

“The person that Adele has always wanted to meet is Dwayne Johnson.

“You’ve never met him?

“I found out he’s a huge fan of yours, too.

“I don’t have Dwayne Johnson here tonight… but I do have someone called The Rock.

“Adele meet The Rock. The Rock meet Adele. First time ever.”

This wouldn’t be the only moment between Adele and The Rock, with the singer securing the Best Pop Solo Performance Grammy for her song Easy on Me.

The award would be given to her by her new best friend, Dwayne Johnson.
