Vince McMahon’s Creative Input For WWE Raw Before Money In The Bank Revealed

Vince McMahon’s Creative Input For WWE Raw Before Money In The Bank Revealed WWE

The level of creative input that Vince McMahon had on last night’s June 26 episode of WWE Raw has been revealed.

Since WrestleMania weekend, it had become a regular thing for Vince McMahon to be part of pre-show creative meetings (remotely), and to make some changes to creative plans.

This didn’t seem to be having any regular major effects until recently, including the last episode of SmackDown which had three advertised matches scrapped in favor of what McMahon wanted on the show.

As for last night’s Raw, it sounds like McMahon had very heavy input once again.

Speaking on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported:

“Vince has taken more and more interest in this. Today (Raw) was another example of that.

“This was Vince McMahon’s show.”

This lines up with what PWInsider had reported before Raw started, which was that the show would have “a lot of Vince McMahon fingerprints” on it, and that McMahon is likely going to start picking up his involvement as the deal with Endeavor gets closer to being finalized.

The story of Raw really was the debut of NXT Champion Carmelo Hayes, which spanned several segments including him helping save Seth Rollins from an attack by Finn Balor, a backstage interview, a video package, and a pretty competitive match with Balor himself which Balor ended up winning.

It was also the final episode of Raw before Money in the Bank this coming Saturday and therefore featured a “summit” with all six women in the women’s Money in the Bank ladder match meeting and brawling in the ring, with Becky Lynch coming out on top and then confronting Rhea Ripley backstage, teasing the idea that Lynch is the favorite heading into Saturday.
