Vince McMahon Lawsuit Update – Dr Carlon Colker Withdraws Complaint Against Janel Grant

Dr Carlon Colker has withdrawn the complaint he had filed against Janel Grant, the former WWE employee who filed suit against Vince McMahon, WWE and John Laurinaitis.

After the main Grant lawsuit had been put on pause by the US government due to its own investigations into the defendants, Grant filed a petition in July seeking medical records from Dr Carlon Colker and Peak Wellness.

After Grant filed that petition, Colker and Peak Wellness then filed a complaint against Grant alleging that Grant’s efforts were part of a “smear campaign” and Colker had “suffered damages” as a result.

However, as first reported by POST Wrestling today, Colker has now withdrawn that complaint.

POST Wrestling notes: “Both Grant and Colker were seeking to depose one another through their respective petitions. Additionally, Colker sought records of any communications Grant or her representatives had with the media”.

We received the following statement from Grant’s attorney Ann Callis:

“Unsurprisingly, Dr. Colker has withdrawn his baseless motion. In the same vein as Mr. McMahon’s recently struck down motion, this was filed simply as yet another frivolous attempt to intimidate Ms. Grant. Ms. Grant remains steadfast in her right to seeking documents and information relating to her own medical records, meta-data, Dr. Colker’s prescribed treatments, and any communications between Dr. Colker and other parties concerning Ms. Grant or Ms. Grant’s medical treatment.”

Grant’s initial petition to seek the medical records from Colker and Peak Wellness remains active.
