The debut episode of AEW Collision was held this past Saturday at the United Center in Chicago.
The show was built around the AEW return of CM Punk, who made two appearances on the show, opening up the show with a promo, before coming back out at the end of the night to team with FTR to take on Jay White, Juice Robinson and Samoa Joe.
The launch of a new AEW television show was reportedly a decision made by Warner Bros Discovery, and we now have an update on what the WBD executives thought of the Collision debut.
Per PWInsider, Warner Bros. Discovery sources told PWInsider that the company was ‘thrilled’ with the broadcast audience of the show, as well the overall engagement for the first episode of Collision.
The ratings for the debut episode have now been revealed, including how Punk’s appearances helped the quarter hours for the show.
