On the newest episode of The Road to Double or Nothing, Cody revealed the newest additions to the Over Budget Battle Royal as Glacier and Brian Pillman Jr. will both be participating in the match. The Battle Royal is set to take place at Double or Nothing on May 25th.
There are now six participants officially announced for the Battle Royal. Sonny Kiss, Ace Romero, Brandon Cutler, and Kip Sabien will all compete in the match alongside Glacier and Pillman.
Glacier made an appearance at ALL IN as one of the members of Cody’s entourage for his match with Nick Aldis. The WCW star has made sporadic appearances on the independent circuit for the last decade, including appearances in CHIKARA’s Infinite Gauntlet, and Ring of Honor’s Honor Rumble.
Brian Pillman Jr. was also confirmed for the match. As one of the up-and-coming stars of the independent scene, this will be the biggest stage Pillman will have competed on in his young career. The son of the legendary Brian Pillman, Pillman Jr. is currently signed to MLW where he is a part of the New Era Hart Foundation stable alongside Teddy Hart and Davey Boy Smith Jr.
In addition to the announcements of Pillman and Glacier, AEW also announced the signing of independent star Darby Allin. You can read more about his signing here.
