What Happened With CM Punk After AEW Dynamite?

Here’s what happened, following CM Punk’s AEW Dynamite debut, after the August 25 edition of Dynamite went off the air.

On last night’s show, Punk made his first Dynamite appearance, hyping his All Out match with Darby Allin, and teasing Daniel Bryan’s AEW arrival.

Following the show, Punk joined Christian Cage and Frankie Kazarian in the ring. Opening up to the fans, Punk said:

“I just had to come out here and say, ‘this is so cool.’ I know it’s late, I know sometimes these shows can be long, but you sit in your seats, and you’re enthusiastic, and you give everybody here everything you’ve got.

“Because everybody here, at least from what I’ve seen so far, gives you everything that they have. I just want to say I’m super grateful.”

“Eventually, the luster will kinda wear off from the shiny CM Punk. You’re just gonna have a good time listening to Cult of Personality, but do know that until it does wear off, I’m gonna keep doing this and soak in as much as possible.”

Here are videos of Punk’s post-Dynamite appearance:

CM Punk’s upcoming All Out match with Darby Allin is set to be his first official bout since Royal Rumble 2014. In a recent interview, Tony Khan noted that he believes CM Punk has already paid for himself in AEW.
