What Happened During Trinity Fatu’s IMPACT Pay-Per-View Debut IMPACT

Find out what happened when Trinity (formerly known as Naomi) had her debut match on pay-per-view for IMPACT Wrestling.

Tonight (May 26) Trinity faced off against Gisele Shaw on IMPACT Wrestling’s pay-per-view, Under Siege.

In a fast paced and exciting match, both women showed off their skills with Trinity in particular displaying offense and innovation in the ring.

During the match she performed a move which commentary referred to as simply a ‘back breaker’ however some fans immediately took notice.

Tweeting about an homage she performed during the match, Trinity confirmed afterward that she did indeed do a Nikki Garcia (fka Nikki Bella) inspired ‘Rack Attack’ during the match.

Trinity wrote:

Mother walked so I could run #fearlessnikki #nikkirackattack

In the end, Trinity picked up the victory over Gisele Shaw to become officially undefeated in IMPACT Wrestling.

Before the show, Trinity opened up to Sports Illustrated about her ‘public humiliation’ after departing from WWE last year. To read more about that, click here.

Elsewhere on the IMPACT Wrestling pay-per-view, another interesting development from the Knockouts Division.

Deonna Purrazzo not only retained her IMPACT Knockouts Championship over Jordynne Grace, the stipulation of the match began to make a lot of sense with a subsequent news report.

While in storyline if Grace lost at Under Siege, she would not be able to challenge Purrazzo for the Knockouts Championship again during her reign, it was revealed by Fightful Select that currently Grace’s contract with the company is up.

While Grace is a free agent at this time, she is reportedly looking at potentially taking some time off to pursue other projects despite the report noting interest from higher ups at multiple promotions.

Could Jordynne Grace be popping up sometime soon in either WWE or AEW? We’ll have to stay tuned to find out!

Elsewhere during Under Siege, Mr. Deonna Purrazzo, also known as IMPACT Wrestling World Champion Steve Maclin competed in a wild no disqualifications match which included him stapling PCO’s mouth shut.

Yes, you did read that right. He stapled a man’s mouth shut.

Welcome to what is just the beginning of a very long weekend of professional wrestling, buckle up friends!

Memorial Day weekend kicked off with Friday’s IMPACT Wrestling pay-per-view, Under Siege.

Sunday May 28 is set for not only WWE NXT action in the premium live event NXT Battleground but also, another pay-per-view, AEW Double or Nothing airing at the same time.
