What Happened Off The Air After Cody Rhodes Slapped The Rock On WWE SmackDown

Here’s what happened when WWE SmackDown went off the air with Cody Rhodes slapping The Rock following a huge WrestleMania 40 announcement.

It’s now official that on WrestleMania night one, The Rock and Roman Reigns will team up in a tag match against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.

Right as SmackDown ended on TV, The Rock told Cody Rhodes that Rhodes’ siblings are 20 years older than Rhodes because he was a mistake, which led to Rhodes slapping Rock.

Viewers were left wondering how Dwayne Johnson responded to that since the show cut off right after the slap.

Well, as seen in footage posted online by fans in attendance at the show – not much.

After the slap, Rock and Roman simply continued to stare at Rhodes and Rollins for a while, and it looked like Rock did say some words, but other than that, he simply walked off.

After the show, Triple H officially confirmed that the “biggest tag team match ever” is on for WWE WrestleMania 40.
