Some new insight into who WWE seemingly perceives as its biggest stars has emerged.
As we cover whenever they get updated, WWE has made some changes to the banner graphic on the ‘Superstars’ page of WWE.com.
While you obviously can’t say it as an absolute fact, it’s a safe assumption that WWE, or at least its website team, handpicks the company’s biggest and/or most marketable stars to feature on the banner.
As such, there have been a couple of removals and additions as the banner has been replaced with a new version:
Added: AJ Styles, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, Jey Uso, Ilja Dragunov, Sami Zayn
Removed: Gigi Dolin, Roxanne Perez, Bron Breakker, Ricochet
Still on the graphic after update: Rey Mysterio, Charlotte Flair, Raquel Rodriguez, Damian Priest, Carmelo Hayes, Tiffany Stratton, Gunther, Rhea Ripley, Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Bianca Belair, Dominik Mysterio, IYO SKY, LA Knight, Becky Lynch, Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Chelsea Green
Of course, anyone not listed above isn’t on the new graphic and wasn’t on the previous version either.
Cody Rhodes and Dominik Mysterio had their pictures updated on the new version too.
Also worth mentioning is that since we last provided an update on the banners, the NXT specific banner on the ‘Shows’ page has been updated, with Ilja Dragunov replacing Bron Breakker, and Becky Lynch replacing Gigi Dolin.
