Will Ospreay AEW Revolution Opponent Confirmed

Will Ospreay AEW Revolution Opponent Confirmed AEW

The opponent for Will Ospreay at AEW Revolution on pay-per-view was revealed on tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite (February 14).

In a backstage interview segment, Don Callis and members of his “Family” (Konosuke Takeshita & Powerhouse Hobbs) appeared with Callis saying that he couldn’t find anyone to face either Takeshita or Hobbs because they were all afraid.

However, Callis had an odd idea in order to ensure that Takeshita took his rightful place on the AEW Revolution pay-per-view card.

Saying that he elected to instead look within the Don Callis Family itself, Callis announced that at AEW Revolution, Konosuke Takeshita would be taking on Will Ospreay.

Will Ospreay of course was announced as having signed with AEW while he continued to fulfill contractual obligations to NJPW.

Now that Ospreay has competed in his last match under NJPW contract, he will make his return to AEW pay-per-view as a full-time roster member.

Ospreay previously made big appearances at both AEW Wrestle Dream in October 2023 and AEW All In in London in August 2023.

Elsewhere on tonight’s AEW Dynamite, a match between Adam Copeland and Daniel Garcia to determine who would get a shot at Christian Cage and his TNT Championship at AEW Revolution.

However as Daddy Magic was on commentary during Garcia’s match, he tried to prevent disaster but instead Killswitch took him out.

In the end, there was not a conclusive winner after The Patriarchy (Nick Wayne and Killswitch) made a big interference and the match was ruled a no contest.

Christian Cage would make an appearance by the end of the assault, appearing with Mother Wayne and bringing out steel chairs.

As they were about to nail Garcia with a con-chair-to, Copeland made the save, but then himself ended up eating the con-chair-to instead.
