William Regal Explains AEW Full Gear Actions In Final AEW Promo AEW

William Regal appears to be on his way out of All Elite Wrestling, as confirmed by Tony Khan during today’s pre-ROH Final Battle media call.

However, Regal’s time on AEW television was not yet over, as AEW aired a never before seen interview from Regal on tonight’s show, which seems set to be his final promo in the company.

The video was taped two weeks ago, following William Regal’s shocking betrayal of Jon Moxley in the main event of Full Gear.

We were waiting for Regal’s explanation of his actions, and we finally heard from the man himself on tonight’s Dynamite.

Regal opened the interview by stating that if it was being seen, then something bad had happened to him.

Regal went on to explain that he helped MJF win the AEW World Championship because MJF was moaning about emails and wanting to be the champion, so Regal gave him what he wanted.

He then told MJF to be careful what he wished for, as he would have a target on his back from the entire Blackpool Combat Club.

Regal then went on to say that he screwed Moxley to teach a lesson to the members of the group as to why they don’t need his help anymore, and that they (Bryan, Claudio and Moxley) could help turn Wheeler Yuta into the greatest wrestler in the world.

Regal finished the promo by saying that he is Blackpool Combat Club until the day he dies, and that he believes Moxley will understand his reasoning.

Regal signed off by giving one piece of advice: ‘Always stay one step ahead… Always watch the back of your head.’
