Tonight’s (July 4) episode of WWE NXT is set to feature a number of top women’s matches on the show.
The show opened off with the grudge match between Roxanne Perez and Blair Davenport, stemming from Blair’s attack on Roxanne following her NXT Women’s Championship Tournament defeat before NXT Battleground.
Blair was revealed as the attacker the following week, and the culprit behind the ysterious attacks on many of the brand’s women’s stars including Nikkita Lyons and Sol Ruca.
The story took a major step when Blair attacked Roxanne while she was live on Snapchat for WWE’s UpNXT show on the app, setting up tonight’s match.
The match began with Roxanne jumping Blair during her entrance for the match.
In the end, it was Davenport who picked up the win over Perez with a knee to the face.
Tonight’s show is also set to feature the return of Raw Underground, with Damon Kemp facing Eddy Thorpe in ‘NXT Underground’.
