WWE Star Recalls Big Angle: ‘I Started Out A Triple H Guy’ WWE

WWE star Cedric Alexander has now reflected on his early WWE career, and his standout match against Japanese star Kota Ibushi.

Alexander made his WWE debut as part of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament in 2016, along with a number of other cruiserweight stars.

After defeating Sean Maluta in the first round of the tournament, Alexander faced off against Kota Ibushi in an amazing bout, but ultimately came up short.

This bout aired on the August 10, 2016 Cruiserweight Classic show. Celebrating the seven year anniversary of this bout, Alexander tweeted a link to the match, writing:

A different time

Following the bout, the crowd chanted for WWE to ‘please sign Cedric’. In response to this chant, Triple H met Cedric Alexander on the ramp and gave the fans a thumbs up.

You can watch this moment below.

Reminding fans of this moment, Alexander tweeted:

I started out a HHH guy 🤷🏿‍♂️

Cedric Alexander hasn’t wrestled on the WWE main roster since he and Shelton Benjamin were defeated by Sanga and Veer on the June 19 edition of Raw.

Since Alexander and Benjamin were undrafted in the 2023 WWE Draft, many have been calling for WWE to reunite the Hurt Business.

Bobby Lashley has now formed a new group with the Street Profits, which Alexander’s wife Big Swole has reacted to.

Another WWE star has addressed rumors that Triple H is trying to bury him, which you can read more about right here.
