Former WWE star Matt Cardona brought a familiar looking title belt to the ring ahead of his major match during Sunday’s DDT Pro Wrestle Peter Pan 2023 event.
Matt Cardona’s wife Chelsea Green recently won her first title in WWE, with Green and Sonya Deville defeating Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriquez for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship on the July 17 edition of Raw.
Since Green’s victory, Cardona has argued that, as he is Green’s ‘other half’, he is one half of one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.
Well, Cardona has taken this role more literal than fans thought he would, making his entrance with the WWE title belt – well, actually a replica of it rather than the real thing, obviously – during the July 23 event.

Cardona went on to defeat Tetsuya Endo to win more gold, ironically winning the DDT Universal Championship.
Addressing his use of the WWE championship belt, Cardona took to Twitter to ask:
I am one half of one half of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions…

Cardona was actually at WWE Raw on Monday for Green’s title win, with Green sharing a photo of herself and her husband backstage, fuelling speculation that Cardona will soon make a WWE return.
The Death Match King has now addressed his WWE backstage return, commenting on rumors about a potential comeback.
