Triple H Celebrates WWE Name Making History At Backlash 2024 WWE

WWE Chief Creative Officer Triple H has congratulated a WWE name for making history at Backlash 2024.

The May 4 premium live event was headlined by an Undisputed WWE Championship match, with Cody Rhodes putting his gold on the line against AJ Styles.

Rhodes was ultimately victorious, pinning Styles to win his first televised WWE Championship defence.

The referee who counted the fall was Jessika Carr, who made history as the first woman to officiate a WWE Championship match in the main event of a premium live event.

Triple H has now taken to Twitter to share a photo of himself with Carr backstage at Backlash.

Highlighting her achievement, Triple H wrote:

Jessika Carr has been smashing through glass ceilings since she joined @WWE, and last night was no different.

At #WWEBacklash France, @WWELadyRefJess became the first female official to ever referee a #WWETitle PLE main event match.

Cody Rhodes had pointed out that Carr was set to make history ahead of the Backlash event starting.
