Earlier today, it was reported a meeting was held in WWE that left employees very unhappy. The report said this was a result of WWE informing them they weren’t getting bonuses.
Now the highly respected Twitter account WrestleVotes has tweeted:
“Just got a text from a source in St. Pete… the unhappiness and straight up anger backstage is at an all time high level. Everyone from the boys to the road crew are pissed off. Not a good look.”
If the reports about the bonuses are true, then that would explain why the backstage folks and road crew are upset. It would seem this might also explain why the “boys” are upset.
Given WWE released wrestlers last year in the middle of a pandemic and then took measures to cut off wrestlers’ ability to earn money through 3rd party streaming services, they certainly aren’t endearing themselves to their employees.
