WWE Star Praises Oba Femi: ‘The Air Changes When He Enters An Arena’

WWE commentator Joe Tessitore has praised Oba Femi, ahead of his Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam this weekend.

Following Oba Femi defeating Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, and Lesnar having his arm raised in the rematch at Clash In Italy, the two powerhouses will be locked inside the Hell in a Cell structure on SummerSlam Saturday on August 1.

While running down the card on ESPN First Take, Joe Tessitore highlighted the speed at which Oba Femi has established himself as a top star.

Comparing the 2026 King of the Ring winner‘s aura with that of Lesnar’s Tessitore said:

“He’s so much better than you could have even thought that he would be, and everybody thought he would be the man. It’s how quickly he’s already established himself.

“I said this for years, when people would ask ‘What’s it like when you’re sitting there in the arena and you’re broadcasting with Brock Lesnar?’ I’d say ‘I’m telling you right now, the air changes. You can actually sense danger. You know that he’s not like other men in combat sports.’

“That is already what is happening with Oba Femi, the air changes when he enters an arena. We experienced it just recently at Madison Square Garden, he came out before we went on the air and just cut a promo. The place goes crazy.

“Everybody knows, every generation has that guy that looks like the unbeatable, unconquerable beast, in this case, the ruler, he’s it. He’s very much it, and it didn’t take long for him to get to that place of that status.

With this likely being the final clash between Oba Femi and Brock Lesnar, many fans are hoping to see Femi slay the Beast at SummerSlam.

A win for Femi would help to solidify him as The Next Big Thing, amid uncertainty about Lesnar’s in-ring future.
