The winner of the 2026 WWE King of the Ring tournament has been crowned at today’s Night of Champions premium live event.

After the tournament commenced following Clash In Italy, the past few weeks have seen the King of the Ring tournament play out, with Oba Femi and Jey Uso making it to today’s final.

Femi defeated Dominik Mysterio in his semi-final, while Uso got past Je’Von Evans.

Today’s final saw Oba Femi score the win against Uso in decisive fashion in about 10 minutes, with Femi now earning a world title shot at SummerSlam as a result of his win.

Femi had an in-ring interview after the match, but didn’t give any hints as to which championship he’ll be chasing.

Who Will Oba Femi Face At WWE SummerSlam

After winning the King of the Ring tournament, Oba Femi now has a guaranteed world title shot at WWE SummerSlam in Minneapolis at the beginning of August.

The question is which champion will he choose to face – Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes (or whoever wins tonight’s three-way for the title between Rhodes, GUNTHER and Sami Zayn), or World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns?

Immediately after WrestleMania, where Oba Femi and Roman Reigns scored wins against Brock Lesnar and CM Punk respectively, they targeted each other and a match between the two seemed like a potential direction for SummerSlam.

However, with the looming threat of a Brock Lesnar return with his record against Femi at 1-1, it has seemed like less of a guarantee as of late.

WWE did also briefly tease Femi vs Rhodes on SmackDown this past Friday, and the two do have a history going back to the end of 2025.

This is another example of a change in philosphy between Vince McMahon and Triple H – McMahon would rarely if ever tease something that wasn’t going to happen, whereas Triple H is happy to tease multiple directions and not necessarily delivering all of them.

All in all, Femi vs Reigns does seem the most likely outcome, but it wouldn’t be a huge surprise if it was Femi vs Rhodes.
