WWE is on the road to the SummerSlam 2026 premium live event from Minneapolis, Minnesota on August 1 and 2.

Since winning the WWE Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42, Liv Morgan has not yet defended the title a single time.

Considering the inactivity of this run, there is no telling what the WWE Women’s World Championship match will be at this all important show.

Here are seven potential Women’s World Championship matches at WWE SummerSlam 2026.

7. Liv Morgan vs. IYO SKY

To the surprise of many fans, Liv Morgan entered herself into the Queen of the Ring tournament despite already being WWE Women’s World Champion.

Since then, Morgan has picked up wins over Chelsea Green, Alexa Bliss, Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair to advance to the Finals at WWE Night of Champions 2026.

Liv will now face IYO SKY in Riyadh, so this could very much shape the landscape of how WWE SummerSlam 2026 will look.

SKY beating Morgan in the Queen of the Ring Finals could set the stage for a title rematch at SummerSlam in Minneapolis.

6. Liv Morgan vs. Stephanie Vaquer

At WWE WrestleMania 42 Night One, Liv Morgan defeated Stephanie Vaquer to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Then on the April 27 edition of Monday Night Raw, Morgan and The Judgment Day attacked Vaquer, putting her on the shelf for weeks with a shoulder injury.

In her absence, Morgan has not been challenged for the WWE Women’s World Championship since then.

Liv Morgan going on to face Stephanie Vaquer for the title at WWE SummerSlam 2026 seems like the best way to continue this rivalry stemming from WrestleMania 42.

5. Stephanie Vaquer vs. IYO SKY

At WWE Wrestlepalooza 2025, Stephanie Vaquer defeated IYO SKY to win the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Following this loss, SKY found herself embroiled in a long term feud with Asuka and Kairi Sane.

If Vaquer makes her return following WWE Night of Champions 2026, “La Primera” could go on to beat Liv Morgan to regain the title.

Vaquer then going on to face Queen of the Ring IYO SKY at WWE SummerSlam 2026 makes a ton of sense and could further this rivalry that started last year.

4. IYO SKY vs. Lyra Valkyria

At WWE Night of Champions 2026, IYO SKY will face Liv Morgan in the Queen of the Ring Finals.

“The Genius of the Sky” seems like the favorite to win the tournament and go on to challenge for the WWE Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam 2026.

If SKY defeats Morgan in the Queen of the Ring tournament, then it could lead to IYO beating her again ahead of their title match at “The Biggest Party of the Summer.”

Heading into the WWE SummerSlam 2026 PLE as champion, IYO could be challenged by the newly heel Lyra Valkyria.

3. Liv Morgan vs. Raquel Rodriguez

If Liv Morgan remains the WWE Women’s World Champion until SummerSlam 2026, it would make sense if she faced an opponent that she has a ton of history with.

In recent months, Morgan has been having more and more issues with Raquel Rodriguez due to their individual goals.

Morgan and Rodriguez have long been best friends and tag team partners, which has seen these two make history as the only four-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions.

Looking to finally break away from her friend, Rodriguez could step up to the plate to challenge Morgan for the WWE Women’s World Championship at SummerSlam 2026.

2. Liv Morgan vs. Roxanne Perez

Speaking of The Judgment Day turning on themselves, there has also been some problems between Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez.

In 2025, Perez joined The Judgment Day thanks to being recruited by former member Finn Balor.

While she was on a hiatus, Perez watched The Judgment Day betray Balor, leading to some questions and doubts in regards to the loyalty of the group.

Perez turning on Morgan could see “The Prodigy” go after the WWE Women’s World Champion at SummerSlam 2026 from Minneapolis.

1. Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley

Back at WWE SummerSlam 2024, Liv Morgan defeated Rhea Ripley to retain the WWE Women’s World Championship. Several months later, Ripley went on to capture the title from Morgan during the Raw on Netflix premiere episode.

Shocking many fans, Liv has entered the King of the Ring tournament, looking to make history by winning the crown while holding the WWE Women’s World Championship.

Considering she can get some help from The Judgment Day, Morgan has more than enough to overcome IYO SKY in the King of the Ring Finals at WWE Night of Champions 2026.

Morgan winning the Queen of the Ring could lead to a title vs. title battle with Ripley that has enough star power to headline one of the nights of WWE SummerSlam 2026.
