A WWE star has earned themselves a world title match at SummerSlam 2026 by winning the Queen of the Ring tournament today.

UPDATE: In regards to who she’ll be facing at SummerSlam, IYO SKY announced in a post-match interview that she’s already chosen to challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Title.

Today’s WWE Night of Champions premium live event in Riyadh played host to the finals of both the King and Queen of the Eing tournaments.

After Oba Femi won the King of the Ring final against Jey Uso, the Queen of the Ring final took place between Liv Morgan and IYO SKY.

Before the match, Danhausen came out onto the stage but was interrupted by Morgan who demanded he repay the money he “stole” from Judgment Day recently.

Danhausen refused to do so and instead cursed Morgan, which didn’t bode well for her match against SKY.

It was in fact SKY who picked up the win, meaning she is the Queen of the Ring and has earned a title shot at SummerSlam.

Which Champion IYO SKY Will Challenge At WWE SummerSlam

IYO SKY, via her Queen of the Ring tournament win, has earned a guaranteed world championship match at WWE SummerSlam in Minneapolis, Minnesota at the start of August.

That means as things stand, SKY has two potential SummerSlam opponents – WWE Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley, or Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, who SKY just beat to win the Queen of the Ring.

While it might seem unlikely that WWE would run a straight rematch from tonight at SummerSlam, it isn’t impossible, and would make perfect sense with the idea that SKY just proved she can beat Morgan, so she’d obviously believe she can do it again, this time with the Women’s World Title on the line.

The alternative is that SKY chooses her close friened and former tag team partner Rhea Ripley – there isn’t really a great reason she would do that, other than their one on one match at Evolution last year got cut short by Naomi’s Money in the Bank cash-in, so they could want to run it back to prove which of them is the best in the spirit of friendly competition.

If SKY faces Morgan at SummerSlam wins, and Ripley holds onto her title, it would also set up that SKY vs Ripley match as the Crown Jewel Title match, which would seem a bit more logical as the situation would pit them against each other rather than SKY actively choosing to face her own friend.

With that said, at this moment in time, SKY vs Morgan in a rematch at SummerSlam seems the most logical option.

There is also the potential x-factor here of Ripley being injured, which means she may end up having to vacate the WWE Women’s Title – if that happens, SKY could end up facing someone else entirely for that championship at SummerSlam.
