Bayley Comments On Current Career Position Amid WWE Future Speculation

Bayley has commented on her current position in the wrestling industry amid ongoing speculation about her WWE future.

Speculation about Bayley’s future in WWE has ramped up over the past few weeks following the break up of her tag team with Lyra Valkyria and their clash at Saturday Night’s Main Event in Madison Square Garden.

It has been reported that Bayley’s contract with WWE is set to expire at the end of this year, with the belief being that WWE is hopeful they can retain her, while there is obvious interest from AEW in bringing her in.

Bayley Says She ‘Knows Her Value’ In The Business

Taking to Instagram today, Bayley shared a mini documentary from backstage at MSG for her match at Saturday Night’s Main Event with Lyra, where she reflected on her current career position amid the rumours.

She noted that this trip to Madison Square Garden was different to her, as she’s now in the stage of her career where she knows her place and worth in the business.

She said:

“I’ve been doing this for so long and I’ve wrestled in the Garden multiple times, a really good amount of times thankfully.

“But this one just feels different. The time and the stage I am in my career right now, I feel like I’m taking a further look back at everything and am seeing it from a different view and knowing my place and knowing my worth in this business.

“Lyra is going to find out the hard way.”

Where Will Bayley Land At The End Of Her Contract?

Over the past year, we have seen a number of names that many believed would be ‘lifers’ in WWE leave the company, namely Sheamus and the New Day, who were reportedly offered paycuts which they rejected.

On WWE’s end, Bayley’s role in the women’s division both on and off screen is invaluable, with her contributions being worth paying above whatever her perceived value is from the TKO board.

Though if Bayley gets a major contract extension, the risk will come that she will be the latest veteran name asked to take a paycut a year later, and with her having already accomplished all there is to accomplish in WWE, a change of scenery could be much needed for her, with the obvious move to AEW to work with and against Mercedes Mone being the clear option for her first story in the company.

Plus, WWE really seems to show no desire to improve the booking of it’s women’s division after a truly down year for the division in 2026.
