Top WWE Star Reached Out To Recently Released Name

McKenzie Mitchell, NXT interviewer and WWE digital host, was released on December 1, along with a number of other names.

Mitchell was the best-known of the released WWE employees that included senior vice presidents and other business roles.

The former WWE name has previously reacted to her release and has now revealed the top WWE star that reached out to her.

Speaking to SE Scoops, McKenzie revealed that Becky Lynch took the time to contact her following her WWE departure.

Also revealing that WWE coach Terry Taylor also spoke with her, she said:

“I did have Terry Taylor reach out to me, which was nice.

“He stuck out because he is so respected in the business. So that was really important and awesome he reached out and gave me a personal phone call.

“Becky Lynch texted me a really nice message. She is so well-respected, obviously, as a top competitor in the women’s division and the world.

“It was awesome to hear her kind words. It meant so much.”

Shawn Michaels expressed his surprise at Mitchell’s release during the pre-NXT Deadline media scrum.

She has since echoed Michaels’ comments that the “door is always open” for a WWE return by saying “never say never” in response a question on Twitter.

Mitchell joined WWE in 2019 and was a fixture on WWE NXT along with making appearances on WWE Raw and SmackDown.

After her release, she called her departure “a blessing” while looking forward to future opportunities.
