A WWE championship is set to be defended at another company’s event on June 14, 2025.
Whether it be WWE’s partnership with TNA Wrestling or the acquisition of Lucha Libre AAA – WWE is far more collaborative these days, with wrestlers from other companies appearing on WWE programming and many from Raw, SmackDown and NXT showing up in many different promotion’s across the world.
While we’ve seen WWE stars compete for, and in Trick Williams’ case win championships in other companies, we haven’t seen too many instances of WWE Titles being defended outside of the company.
However, that’s exactly what we will see at Reality of Wrestling’s Power Shift event in Texas City on June 14, as WWE NXT Tag Team Champions Hank & Tank defend their titles against the team of Big Luther & Terrale Tempo – with the promotion announcing the news via their official Twitter page.
This upcoming match is not going to be the first time that the NXT Tag Team Titles have been defended outside of WWE, with Nathan Frazer & Axiom defending the titles twice on TNA iMPACT earlier this year – defeating The Rascalz and Nic & Ryan Nemeth respectively.
Hank & Tank are also no strangers to Reality of Wrestling – winning the promotion’s own Tag Team Championships back in December 2024 – holding them for 84 days.
Reality of Wrestling is owned by WWE Hall of Famer and current NXT commentator Booker T, and has seen appearances from other NXT stars such as Trick Williams, Wren Sinclair and Jacy Jayne to name a few.
