WWE has confirmed the date for the upcoming Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal for WrestleMania 40 weekend in Philadelphia.
While the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal had initially been WrestleMania tradition, in recent years it has occurred on the SmackDown before Mania instead
It seems that 2024 will keep this strategy as WWE has just announced next week’s April 5 episode of WWE SmackDown is set to feature the Battle Royal.
Also announced for next week’s SmackDown, a preview of sorts as the two SmackDown teams set for the WrestleMania 40 six-pack tag team ladder match will face off.
The New Catch Republic (Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne) with take on A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) as well as the culmination of an on-going feud.
The ladies of the war between LWO and LDF will face off as Zelina Vega is set to have a match against Elektra Lopez.
Also as revealed in a backstage segment on tonight’s SmackDown, by ‘orders of the Tribal Chief’, Solo Sikoa will take on Jey Uso on next week’s show with the mission to take him out of contention for WrestleMania 40, where Jey is set to face his twin brother Jimmy.
A special episode of the KO Show was also announced set to feature Randy Orton before he and Owens face off at WrestleMania 40 in a triple threat match against Logan Paul after their brawl tonight on SmackDown.
