Current United States Champion Logan Paul had to convince WWE to book streamer IShowSpeed at WrestleMania 40.
At WWE WrestleMania 40 Night Two, Logan Paul defeated Kevin Owens and Randy Orton to retain the United States Championship.
During the course of the bout, Paul’s friend and YouTube personality IShowSpeed dressed in a PRIME bottle to help Logan, but Orton kicked him and delivered a RKO to Speed on the WWE commentary table.
On the latest episode of IMPAULSIVE, Logan Paul explained that pitching IShowSpeed for WrestleMania 40 took some convincing and “finessing” to bring the idea to fruition. He said:
“When I was pitching him (IShowSpeed) to the WWE, it took a little massaging, it took a little finessing for us to convince them that we had this young creator who by the way is still a teenager.
“The kid’s 19 years old, who’s just an internet phenom. Everything he touches goes crazy viral because he’s got that charismatic, contagious energy. I don’t know.”
Logan Paul appeared in a pre-taped video mocking Randy Orton for his WrestleMania 40 loss on the April 12 episode of WWE SmackDown.
