Former WWE Stars Named Best Wrestlers In TNA WWE/TNA Wrestling

Two former WWE stars have been named as the best in TNA Wrestling by a former star and backstage figure in the company.

A former in-ring star and TNA Hall of Famer in her own right, Gail Kim was a producer and creative team member in TNA Wrestling, holding the position of head of talent relations at the time that she was fired in March last year.

While she may no longer be associated with TNA Wrestling, she has clearly been keeping an eye on the product, as evidenced when a fan asked who the best in-ring wrestlers currently were in the company.

With the question posed on Twitter, Kim would respond with two names that share her past in WWE, stating:

“Nic Nemeth & Mustafa Ali 🙌🏼”

Nic Nemeth will be familiar to WWE fans as Dolph Ziggler, who returned under that name last year in The Last Time Is Now Tournament to face John Cena, only to lose to Solo Sikoa on the November 17 episode of Raw.

With Ziggler having been released by WWE in September 2023, marking an end to his nineteen-year run, he would go on to comment following his one-off (to date) return.

Earlier this year, Nemeth signed a new contract with TNA Wrestling, anticipating a big year in the company.

Mustafa Ali would see his WWE career end prior to an already-announced NXT American Championship match at No Mercy in 2023, with the star being released on September 21 that year.

He would make a one-night return to the WWE, facing Ethan Page in a losing effort for the NXT North American Championship on October 7 last year.

Having also recently re-signed with TNA Wrestling, Ali would reveal his recent decision to stay with the promotion, noting he “wanted to be creatively fulfilled”.

Gail Kim is also a former WWE star and a former Women’s Champion, leaving the company in 2011 when her contract expired.

She would also name Bayley as a fit for the original incarnation of TNA Wrestling, after the WWE star stated she would love to “dip her toes” into the company.
