WWE Hall Of Famer Says Dominik Mysterio Will Be ‘A Hell Of A Babyface’

Dominik Mysterio has an even brighter future as a babyface when the time comes, according to a WWE Hall of Famer.

WWE Backlash saw Dominik Mysterio retain the Intercontinental Championship against Penta, although came with interference from Judgment Day’s Finn Balor, JD McDonagh and Carlito, with El Grande Americano also making his presence felt.

All this came just under a month since Mysterio became WWE Intercontinental Champion in a Fatal Four-Way match at WrestleMania 41.

Despite being a heel in the match which also featured then-champion Bron Breakker, along with Finn Balor and Penta, Dominik Mysterio would get quite the reaction from the fans in Las Vegas.

Diamond Dallas Page has addressed Dominik Mysterio’s fan reaction, noting that he’s going to be a quite the babyface when the moment arises.

Speaking to Casino Beats, DDP reflected on Mysterio’s WrestleMania showing in comments made ahead of WWE Backlash, saying:

“Now wait a second. Let me ask you though, did you not feel the crowd when Mysterio went over? Did you not feel the entire crowd turning him babyface? They loved it. I was there in the front row live and they loved it.

“Like the kid’s gonna be a hell of a babyface when he makes that flip. Hold onto that heel thing as long as you can, because when he flips, I’ll tell you what that’s a kid I’m a big fan of.

“We both have the same birthday. I love his old man. But I am personally a big fan of how hard he’s worked to get to this spot. I don’t know many young kids who could have come in the way he did with his dad, not really know how to work at all, and has turned himself, man.

“Whoever was in charge of making that happen, they are a kingmaker because that kid, he has got it all and some.

“It was interesting because he’s the biggest heel, and yet at that last WrestleMania, boy, you swear to God he was the biggest baby face of the company.”

Diamond Dallas Page inducted Lex Luger into the WWE Hall of Fame as a member of the Class of 2025.

Dominik Mysterio has recently teased the possibility of taking part in the men’s Money in the Bank ladder match and named the championship he would cash in on.

WWE Money in the Bank takes place on July 7, 2025, at the Intuit Dome in California.
